Fudgy Tahini Cacao Brownies
Gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and so satisfying
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 12-16 (depending on how big you cut them!)
These are the kind of brownies that check all the boxes! Rich, fudgy, nutrient-dense, and just the right amount of sweet. They come together in one bowl, are free of gluten and dairy, and sneak in some nourishing ingredients like tahini and cacao that your gut and hormones will thank you for.
Letās just say⦠youāre gonna want to keep this recipe close!
Ingredients:
1 cup tahini
1/3 cup unrefined coconut sugar
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/3 cup unsweetened cacao powder
1 tbsp oat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted (I love Hu dark chocolate baking chips)
Optional: chopped Hu chocolate bars (I like combining the simple milk + simple dark chocolate)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch glass baking dish with avocado oil.
In a large bowl, whisk together the tahini, coconut sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth and well combined.
Gently fold in the cacao powder, oat flour, baking soda, and sea salt until the batter is thick and glossy.
Stir in the melted chocolate chips for an extra layer of richness.
Optional: Fold in some chopped Hu chocolate bars for texture and decadence.
Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth out the top.
Bake for 18ā28 minutes, depending on your oven. Check for doneness by inserting a knife. It should come out with a few moist crumbs (not fully clean!).
Optional (but highly recommended): Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while still warm.
Why I Love These:
These brownies are the perfect reminder that indulgence and nourishment can exist in the same bite. The tahini adds healthy fats and a subtle nutty flavor, while cacao brings in antioxidants and that rich, dark chocolate vibe. Theyāre my go-to when I want something chocolaty, cozy, satisfying, and made with real ingredients.
They hold up perfectly in the fridge for a few days, and somehow taste even better the next day.
Let me know if you try them :) I always love hearing from you!
With love,
Morgan
